For the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, D.C., we created a system of typographic standards and established a visual vocabulary for the Modern and Contemporary Art Galleries.

We introduced a system featuring backlit scrims, carefully positioned to provide clear identification while safeguarding the landmarked interiors. This seamless blend of typography and visual elements not only guides visitors but also pays homage to the rich artistic heritage housed within these walls.
