SEGD Awards Annual and Standards

SEGD, the leading worldwide organization for graphic design in the built environment, recognizes individuals, agencies, and companies who, through their commitment to human-centered, effective experience design, help define and promote best practices and ethical standards for the profession.

We embraced minimalism to reposition and redesign SEGD’s Awards Annual. We restructured how the Annual presents award recipients and their exceptional work. The goal was to celebrate the designers’ achievements without distractions. By carefully reorganizing the content, the focus remains on their work, allowing for more exposure to design expression and a better understanding of project descriptions and credits.

The redesign also allows the organization to more effectively engage with sponsorship opportunities, which supplement the organization’s educational and outreach efforts. The outcome is a restrained, sophisticated design, with a simple color palette, which puts the spotlight squarely on the award recipients.
